11. The Head of the UGCC created a working-group to discuss directions of the Church’s missionary activity

On July 1, 2008, on the premises of the Retreat Center of the Lviv Archeparchy (Lviv-Bryukhovychi), the first session of a working-group created by His Beatitude Lubomyr, Major Archbishop of Kyiv and Halych, for the subsequent working out of the strategy of missionary activity of the UGCC was held.
12. A photo book with an introduction by the Head of the UGCC was published

On June 27, 2008, at 19.00 in Kyiv’s Bottega Gallery, a presentation of the photo album of Ihor and Nina Haydaj, "9 months + 3 days," was held. Photos of 45 families, co-authors mothers and fathers, together with newborn babies, taken by Ihor Haydaj over three years in maternity hospitals in Vienna and Kyiv are presented in this album.
13. The annual meeting of the secretaries of the Episcopal Conferences of Europe is being conducted in Spain

On June 26-30, 2008, the annual meeting of secretaries of the Episcopal Conferences of Europe is happening in Spain. The Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church is represented at this forum by Bishop Bohdan (Dzyurakh), Secretary of the Synod of Bishops of the UGCC.
14. On June 27 the ordination of the new Ordinary Bishop of the Eparchy of Saskatoon will be held

As was reported by the Saskatoon Eparchy of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church in Canada, on June 27, 2008, in the Cathedral of Saint George in the city of Saskatoon, the episcopal ordination of Bishop Bryan (Bayda), newly-appointed Eparch of Saskatoon, will be held.
15. Representatives of Renovabis have visited Ukraine

“As far as I can tell, the guests from Germany were positively impressed with what they saw. And once again the importance of their help was confirmed, and the efficiency of its use." So said Bishop Bohdan (Dzyurakh), Secretary of the Synod of Bishops of the UGCC, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archeparchy of Kyiv, summarizing the visit to Ukraine of representatives of the charitable foundation Renovabis.

On June 22, 2008, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his priestly ordination and his 75th birthday, the Head of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church, His Beatitude Lubomyr, a member of Plast [the Ukrainian scouts], a brother of the assembly Detachment of the Red Cranberry, was solemnly handed the greatest Plast award, the Order of the Eternal Fire in Gold.

On June 19 at the headquarters of the Naval Forces of the Military Forces of Ukraine (NF MFU) an agreement about cooperation between the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church and the command of the NF MFU in the area of providing pastoral care for personnel of the NF MFU was signed.
18. Heads of Christian Churches of Ukraine discussed relevant questions of Church-state relations

On June 19, 2008, on the premises of the religious mission of Caritas-Spes Ukraine, a meeting of heads and delegated representatives of Churches in the format of a Conference of Representatives of the Christian Churches of Ukraine, which was conducted with the presiding of a bishop of the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine, Markiyan Trofymyak, was held.
19. UGCC Head calls prison work cause pleasing to God

On June 17-18, 2008, with the blessing of His Beatitude Lubomyr, the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church in cooperation with the State Department of Ukraine on Questions of the Implementation of Punishments conducted a pilgrimage to Zarvanytsya for personnel of the penitentiary system of Ukraine. The employees of the department and clergy of various Churches took part in this pilgrimage.
20. New directions of evangelization and catechetical ministry for adults are being worked out by the UGCC

On June 16-17, 2008 in Lviv, on the premises of the Lviv seminary, an international conference «Evangelization and catechesis of adults in the UGCC» will be conducted. The purpose of the conference is: to reveal the essence, task and methods for the evangelization and catechesis of adults, and also to work out prospects and directions of evangelization and catechetical ministry for adults in the UGCC, considering the status and challenges of today.
