   The Movie “His Grace Andrey” will be shown at Cannes

For the first time in the history of the Cannes Film Festival, Ukraine will be presented at a pavilion in Village International, where traditionally the largest market-cinema festival in the world is held. During the festival six Ukrainian films will be shown.

As part of the 61st Cannes Film Festival there will be showings of six full-length films: Casting by Alexandra Shapiro, Illusion of fear Alexandr Kirienko, Safo by Robert Krombi, Bohdan Zinoviy Khmel'nytskyj by Nick Maschenko, Funny fairy-tale by Roman Shyrman, and His Grace Andrey by Oles’ Yanchuk.

The main event of the work of the Ukrainian delegation at the Cannes International Film Festival will be the reception-presentation of national cinema on the embankment of Kruazett, which will take place on May 16 at the Long Beach restaurant. It is expected that 300 participants of the Cannes Film Festival, producers, film stars and journalists, will gather there, report the organizers of the pavilion.

The 61st Cannes festival will be held from May 14 to 25 on the French Light-blue bank. To the main movie demonstration were counted 19 films, which represent Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the USA.


A showing of Steven Spielberg’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will open the proceedings. The judges of this year’s festival of will be led by American actor and producer Sean Penn.
