A gift to the city, people and God...
09.05, [15:52] // News // Taras_H

On May 7, thanks to the joint efforts of seminarians, students, and teachers of the Ivano-Frankivs’k Theological Academy, and also youth and instructors of the Don Bosco Christian Youth Center, planting of greenery for the territory around the center and foundations of a future church was conducted. The initiators and organizers of this ecological action were the Ecological Center of the Ivano-Frankivs’k Eparchy of the UGCC in the person of its leader, Dr. Volodymyr Sheremeta, and the head of the Don Bosco Center, Fr. Ihor Pelekhatyi.

Worthy of attention and imitation is the fact that future priests, theologians and teachers of Christian ethics demonstrated their deep responsibility for the natural environment as God’s creation which needs our active concern and defense and that they successfully transformed part of a former empty lot into, we hope, eventually a magic corner of nature in which more than 10 kinds of decorative trees and more than 30 sorts of fruit trees, nursery transplants of which were planted as part of the event, will grow there.

The Ecological Center of the Ivano-Frankivs’k Eparchy of the UGCC cordially thanks all who on the day of the 346th anniversary of Ivano-Frankivs’k did not remain indifferent to problems of the natural environment and gave such a wonderful gift to the city, people and God.
